Situation
Racism is becoming a very strong topic that is being discussed throughout the world especially the United States of America. This is mainly because the 45th American president, Donald Trump is being disliked for being a racist. No matter what the racist situation is, the white supremacy is always on his back. Over the past few weeks, there has been a on-going battle between Donald Trump and the National Football League (NFL) where kneeling down for the national anthem is such a huge disrespect for the country according to Donald Trump. For African-American athletes and most African-American people in general, they kneel down for the national anthem because of the police brutality, racial injustice, and anti-black racism that blacks are being dealt with for a long time and that they want to do something about it and change that negativity into positivity. Ever since the start of his presidency, Trump still doesn't think nor care about the way blacks have been treated lately by the police and everyone that is against the black community which is why he is against this "kneeling situation" in the NFL.
My Reaction
To be honest, I am not very surprised at Donald Trump for doing his usual racist doings and being his racist self. However, I am surprised that kneeling towards the national anthem is such a big deal and disrespect towards Donald Trump and "his" country. I mean, I never expected this to come out on national TV or seen live. I could see what some of these athletes are doing look right like fighting for your rights is something positive to do towards someone that is against your rights/race. They're trying to send a message to the world that skin colour doesn't matter, we should all be treated fairly, equally and peacefully. If I was an NFL player and I wanted to fight for my right or my race, I would take a knee for the national anthem. Even if Trump wouldn't appreciate it, I want to show that every race matters whether my skin is black, white, yellow, or brown; I want to feel welcomed in my country and the whole world as well.
In terms of Donald Trump in this situation, of course I'd expect Donald Trump for being such a poor supporter towards the black community as he is being the "villain" in that community in my opinion. I think Donald Trump should stay away from blacks at all cost and should not interfere with them at all if he will act racist towards them. There are much worse problems to deal with like the people in Puerto Rico that suffered a hurricane in their country than just two football athletes kneeling down for the national anthem. Additionally, I don't think Donald Trump should corporate with every sports leagues at all because it can possibly turn into a war/riot between sports and politics. The best decision for Donald Trump in my opinion is to stay away from sporting leagues and focus on politics or at least his duties. It will bring out the best for the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, the soccer league, and other sports leagues. To conclude my reaction to this, Donald Trump shouldn't be worthy of observing and incorporating with the NFL or any other sporting league at all. Donald Trump needs to open his eyes and realize how much of a horrible man he is when he is interacting with the blacks and that he should let them be who they are and not someone else. I am very sick and tired of Donald Trump trying to be the underdog and bring justice to America when he is actually making things in his country worse than it ever was before. Don't let Donald Trump and the NFL distract you from the fact that some people that suffered from natural disasters are still in need of help and support from other countries. America need to make their country truly great again; They need to start getting their heads out of the freezer and start doing something about the injustice that is occurring in America. This concludes my reaction towards Donald Trump and the NFL.
